A missed clearance put Crewe under pressure ,conceding a penalty from which the Northwich scrum half took a quick tap for a try that he converted 5-7.
Once again Crewe were up against a bigger more experienced pack and struggled somewhat in the scrums,putting them under pressure again.A catch and drive from a Northwich lineout, second row over for a try 5-12.
Weight advantage in the scrums apart Crewe had parity in the lineout and were edging the breakdowns ,the forwards and backs linking well. Foul play from Northwich ,stopping a certain Crewe score, gave the home side a penalty try .
Half time 12-12
Again Crewe started the half well, forwards and backs working well together for centre Thomas Roberts to crash over for a try 19-12.
Northwich then moved the ball deep into the Crewe half,another catch and drive from a lineout was well held up, good recycled ball however enabled the other Northwich second row to crash over 19-17.
-Crewe bounced back well,good lineout ball,a miss move in the centre allowing fullback Toby Ward to streak in for a cracking try 24-17.
The game was even for a while,then some good pressure from Crewe,again great link play allowing centre Rueben Davies to score another good try 31-17.Northwich had the final score their wing forward going over from a driving maul

A well deserved victory against a strong side,the young players all repaying the faith shown in them at selection,perhaps we need better game management in certain areas of the pitch, but developing into a very good side which will only improve with time and experience
